Our company registration number is 1666847 and it is registered in England and Wales.

1.2 The term “you” refers to the user or viewer of our website and also the buyer.

1.3 “Days” refers to working days, being Monday to Friday inclusive, excluding bank holidays, unless otherwise stated.

2.1 The content of the pages of this website is for your general information and use only. It is subject to change without notice.

2.2 Neither we nor any third parties provide any warranty or guarantee as to the accuracy, timeliness, performance, completeness or suitability of the information and materials found or offered on this website for any particular purpose. You acknowledge that such information and materials may contain inaccuracies or errors and we expressly exclude liability for any such inaccuracies or errors to the fullest extent permitted by law.

2.9 Your use of this website and any dispute arising out of such use of the website is subject to the laws of England and Wales.

3.0 Description & Price

3.1 The description and price of the goods you order will be as at the time you place your order. The price for each product is shown on in British Pounds Sterling and excludes or includes VAT at 20% where appropriate.

3.2 If you are a customer from Europe, we are only able to deduct the VAT amount to you if you are a VAT registered company in your country of registration. If you are a non UK customer from any other area of the world we can deduct the VAT amount. Please contact us directly for this service.

4.0 Terms of Sale

4.1 These terms of sale apply to all goods supplied by The Light Bulb Shop. We retain the right to alter these terms and conditions at any time; you should review our terms and conditions on a regular basis.

4.2 The goods are subject to availability. If on receipt of your order, the goods you have ordered were shown in stock and are then not available in stock, we will inform you as soon as possible and advise you of the earliest possible delivery date.

4.3 Right of cancelation due to non availability. Should you wish to cancel your order at this point, you must immediately send an email to orders@thelightbulbshop.co.uk stating your order acknowledgement number and that you wish to cancel your order. On receipt of your email we will issue a refund or re-credit to you for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for the goods.

4.4 If you exercise your right of cancellation after the goods have been dispatched, you will be responsible for returning the goods back to us at your own cost. You must take reasonable care to ensure the goods are not damaged in the meantime or in transit.

4.5 We will refund or re-credit you within 30 days for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for the goods only, and not for the packing and shipping costs, only after the cancelled items have been received in good condition by us.

4.6 If you do not return the goods as required, we may charge you a sum not exceeding the direct costs of recovering the goods.

5.0 Delivery Policy

5.1 Prices do not include charges for delivery. This will be additional depending on the value of the order or weight of the products. If the value of goods in your order is below £100.00 excluding VAT, we offer one set delivery price

A) UPS/ Interlink Express delivery at £5.00 + VAT

5.2 If the value of goods in your order exceeds £100.00 excluding VAT, we will then offer free carriage on this order. These items are sent via UPS or Interlink Express. This means that you should receive your item/s within 1/2 working days of dispatch confirmation.

5.3 As result of using UPS and Interlink Express, where on the website we have indicated items in stock, we shall endeavour but not guarantee to deliver the goods, once ordered within 3 working days.

5.4 If your order is destined for a delivery address outside of the United Kingdom, we offer DHL delivery which is priced dependent upon the weight off the parcel

5.5 We will issue you with a Tracking Number for any item/s sent on your Dispatch Confirmation. Using the Track and Trace facility online at http://www.royalmail.com or at your local Post Office in the United Kingdom, or at www.ups.com for UPS and www.interlinkexpress.co.uk for DPD parcels you can then check on the progress of your goods.

5.6 In the unlikely event of non-delivery we can only replace or refund the order after 15 days - at only that point can the Post Office officially declare the parcel as lost.

5.7 Orders placed before 12.00pm (noon) on a working day will be processed that day and will be dispatched subject to availability on that same day.

5.8 Every effort will be made to deliver the goods as soon as possible after your order has been accepted. However, we will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through reasonable or unavoidable delay in delivery.

6.0 Returns & Damages

6.1 When your order arrives you must check for damages and or shortages. Claims for damages and or shortages have to be made within 48 hours of receipt of your delivery. Claims for damages and or shortages made after 48 hours of your delivery arriving will be refused. Time and date of delivery is recorded with our carriers. To make a claim for any damages and or shortages you must immediately send an email to orders@thelightbulbshop.co.uk stating your invoice number and the details of the damages or shortages.

6.2 You must then arrange for any damaged goods to be returned to THE LIGHT BULB SHOP c/o Tan Sales (London) Ltd, Unit 12, Brunswick Industrial Park, Brunswick Way, London, N11 1JL, United Kingdom within 7 working days of your claim at your cost, for us to be able process your claim further. You must take reasonable care to ensure the goods are not damaged further in the meantime or in transit.

6.3 5-10 day items other than lamps classify as non-stock items. Non-stock items will be subject to a 25% handling charge when returned back.

7.0 Warranty

7.1 All goods supplied by the The Light Bulb Shop are warranted free from defects for 3 months from the date of supply (unless otherwise stated). This warranty does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

7.2 This warranty does not apply to any defect in the goods arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, accident, negligence by you or any third party, use otherwise than as recommended by us or the manufacturer, failure to follow these instructions, or any alteration or repair carried out without the Supplier's approval.

7.3 If the goods supplied to you develop a defect while under warranty or you have any other complaint about the goods, you should notify the The Light Bulb Shop in writing via orders@thelightbulbshop.co.uk, within 7 days of the date you discovered the damage, defect or complaint. Initially you will be responsible for returning the goods to us at your own cost, your return will be inspected upon delivery to the supplier and providing the goods have been returned as required you may be issued with a refund for the carriage costs incurred.

7.4 You must ensure that any installation of any product that requires installation is carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person as per the local building regulations any health safety regulations or other national regulations that are applicable to your home or place or work. Failure to follow this will invalidate your warranty and you may be in breach of applicable regulations.

8.0 Limitation of Liability

8.1 Tan Sales (London) Ltd total liability in contract, tort (including negligence or breach of statutory duty), misrepresentation, restitution or otherwise, arising in connection with the performance or contemplated performance of this agreement shall be limited to the VAT exclusive price paid for the goods.

8.2 We shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than any refund we make under these conditions. Our liability to you shall not in any event include any losses or costs incurred by you, neither will we be responsible to you for any other loss which is not a foreseeable consequence of us being in breach of these Terms and Conditions or our legal duties.

8.3 Goods are intended for use in the UK only and we cannot confirm that the goods comply with any laws, regulations or other standards applicable outside the UK.

9.0 Disposal of Electrical and Electronic Equipment

9.1 The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive is now UK law (WEEE).The regulation aims to make manufacturers pay for the collection, usage and salvage of waste electrical equipment. The guidelines also mean that distributors of equipment must allow householders to return their waste equipment free of charge. The amount of WEEE throw away is increasing by up to 5%, therefore making it the fastest waste stream in the UK. Much of this ends up in landfill sites releasing harmful toxic chemicals therefore contaminating soil and water resulting in wildlife habitat being harmed. Many electrical items that we throw away can be repaired or recycled. Recycling items helps to save our earth and also reduces the environmental risks connected with sending electrical goods to landfill. Distributors of new the Waste Electric and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) have role in reducing the amount of WEEE going into landfill sites. The Light Bulb Shop is obliged under these regulations to offer our customers free take-back of their WEEE on a like-for-like basis when they buy a new Electrical or Electronic product from us within 28 days of purchase. For example, if a customer bought a new fluorescent tube from us we would accept back their old fluorescent tube and prevent it going into a landfill site by disposing of it safely. Customers must return their WEEE item to us within 28 days of purchasing their old item. If you are unable to send the products back to us you may take your old lamps to a recycling point near you. Please visit www.recycle-more.co.uk to find your closest participating site. Any new electrical and electronic products that are placed on the European market must demonstrate the Crossed-Out Wheeled Bin symbol these items should not be disposed of with household waste which could end up in landfill sites. 10.0 Privacy Policy

10.1 This website is aware of and complies with the Data Protection Act of 1984 (revised 1998). Details of our customers will not be disclosed to any Third Party.

10.2 The Light Bulb Shop is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.
